Through the process of re-framing, re-sampling, and visually cropping, his paintings explore post-vandalism, graffiti art and visual histories embedded in the ethos of surface.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCarson James (b. 1986) is a native of Northern California and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California State University Stanislaus, and Master of Fine arts degree from The University of Hawaii. While painting on canvas is his primary focus, he is also an active photographer which he finds to influence his process of framing the compositions.
