She is well known for her vibrant use of color in her landscape, abstract, portrait, and figure paintings. Karen paints quite deliberately, engaging both traditional and innovative techniques. She relates to Marc Chagall the most, as the performing arts were a significant source of inspiration throughout his artistic career. With each painting, Karen learns something new about herself. Painting brings her great joy.
