At the heart is a keen desire to create surprising and unique art often unrecognizable from how it is commonly seen. It begins with a natural light photo of objects or nature in which the artist foresees creative opportunity. Exploratory work is done digitally before committing to the piece and its direction – whether that affects color, texture, light, opacity, etc.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-reader-unique-id=\"9\"\u003e\u003cspan data-reader-unique-id=\"10\"\u003eHe recently began showing the work. In his first show, fifteen of his pieces were identified as winners by the International Color Awards jury in their 16\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-reader-unique-id=\"11\"\u003eth \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-reader-unique-id=\"12\"\u003eannual competition.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-reader-unique-id=\"13\"\u003e\u003cspan data-reader-unique-id=\"14\"\u003eBruce has also partnered with the California Arts Council to co-found the California Music Project.
